Billu tells the story of a Barber Billu(Irfan Khan) and that of his childhood friend (Shahrukh) who is presently the superstar in Bollywood. Billu is actually the remake of Superhit Malayalam Movie 'Kadha Parayumbol'. Mallu genius Sreenivasan did the role of Barber Balan and Megastar Mammooty was the superstar in the Malayalam Superhit.The world of Billu and and superstar Khan are entirely differerent. Director Priyadarshan was a great success in conveying this idea in the film but the movie as a whole is just average. Masant's verdict was just 2/5.Lara Dutta is the wife if Billu in the film. Songs are good enough. Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor comes in Guest roles.
